EPIC Homes builds relationships across the urban-rural divide through the act of building homes for underprivileged communities, with a current focus on the indigenous Orang Asli of Peninsular Malaysia.
Joining the EPIC Homes build was a meaningful and eye-opening experience. Working alongside volunteers and the Orang Asli community reminded me of the power of empathy and purpose. Experience in blending modern technology with vernacular design
The modular design of an EPIC Home (which pays homage to the vernacular architecture of traditional Orang Asli houses) can be built by a group of ~30 inexperienced volunteers in just 3 days.
We partnered with UNHCR to co-design and remodel their
Reception Centre
Using a participatory design approach, we engaged UNHCR teams across departments and observed how the space was used in real-time. This helped us better understand the user experience and reimagine the 19,388 sq. ft. centre into a welcoming, functional space that supports care, safety, and respectful dialogue.
Cultiveat is a sustainable agri-tech company growing high-quality, traceable vegetables using technology that enables cool-climate crops to thrive in lowland conditions.
We co-developed a holistic brand strategy and translated it into the design and build of their farm showroom and surrounding spaces at their production site in Kapar
— creating a seamless experience for both investors and customers.
